Acts: Philip
This week, Pastor David continued the series from Acts with a look at Philip and how God used him to share the Gospel. We saw:
- God's Expansive Mission
- Our Calling In God's Mission
GOING DEEPER:
- Pastor David said that before it tells us anything about Philip or ourselves, this passage speaks to us about God's expansive mission. God’s love always flows outward. How have you experienced God’s expansive love in your own life?
- In the encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch, God is taking Philip out of his comfort zone, as God’s Spirit always does. When has God done the same for you? Describe what happened.
- This passage also highlights our part in God's expansive mission for sharing the Gospel with all nations. Pastor David asked us to think through two questions as we are called to be part of God’s work in the world: 1) Are you praying for opportunities to share Jesus? and 2) Are you open to seizing those opportunities to share? Why or why not?
