Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL is looking for a sharp, caring leader who has a desire to manage the day-to-day administrative aspects of the Church Office and campus. This position will be responsible for overseeing finances, facilities, Food Services, Administrative staff, Communications, benefits and Payroll, IT, and Security.
The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible, and exceptional accounting skills. Teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to work and supervise various staff and committees is a must. This team member should possess advanced skills in excel and have a broad grasp on current giving trends and how to utilize existing technologies in the area of stewardship.
He/she should be a committed Christian and a regular participant in the life of a local church. He/she will need to be able to conceptualize his/her administrative work as ministry and verbalize the function of the job as ministry. Furthermore, this person will be responsible for fostering effective communication within the church organization especially as it relates to church finances and stewardship. He/she must possess a professional and positive attitude, and the ability to pay attention to small details. His/her attendance is expected to be timely and consistent, with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings or weekends - with notice.
