The Dawson Music Academy presents the
NINTH ANNUAL SUMMER MUSIC CAMP INSTRUMENTS OF PRAISE
June 17-21, 2013

Morning Session (8:30-12:00)
Instrumental instruction for voice, strings (violin, viola, and cello), piano and guitar
Introductory, beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Instruments are not provided for intro guitar classes.  Instruments are provided for intro violin (first 10 morning students and first 10 afternoon students), intro viola, intro cello, and intro piano.  Village Violins will rent string instruments for FREE for just this week for violin, viola and cello.
Intermediate and advanced students will participate in chamber orchestra, choral groups, piano/keyboard or guitar ensembles.
Sectional rehearsals, master classes, and technique classes for intermediate and advanced students. Fun, age-appropriate music history for intro/beginner students.
Theory classes for all ability levels.  Composition classes for intermediate/advanced levels.

All-Day Session (8:30-4:30) Afternoon campers must participate in the morning session. Lunch break for afternoon campers — Bring your own sack lunch.  Drinks will be provided. Variety of elective classes includes art, drama, show choir/music and movement, computer music, recreation, composition, handbells, choir chimes, chamber ensembles, theory, introductory classes, music history, percussion, and many more options. Actual classes will be determined based on registration.

COST: Morning Session Only - $95.00 before May 1(postmarked); $115.00 after May 1   All Day Session - $185 before May 1 (postmarked);  $200.00 after May 1

AGES: Kindergarten – 6th Grade completed

All campers will participate in a recital at the end of the week
on Friday, June 21, 4:30 p.m.  A fellowship meal will follow the recital.
