How to Serve

The basic DNA of Dawson is serving in the name of Jesus Christ. God has uniquely equipped every Christian to serve and has called each of us to serve in a specific way. A wide variety of service opportunities are available at Dawson and many volunteers are needed to help with the ministries that take place within our walls each week. From teaching a Sunday School class to singing in the Sanctuary Choir to being a Sunday morning greeter, there is a place for everyone.

Beyond the walls of Dawson, there are many Dawson ministries, as well as, other community ministries that provide unique places of service. Every Dawson member is encouraged to serve both inside and outside the walls of Dawson.

To find a place of service, you can begin by reviewing the Dawson Ministry Guide, available online or in a hard copy format found in the information racks around our campus. There you will be able to locate the appropriate person to contact for each ministry.

If you are not sure where God is calling you to serve, please feel free to speak with a member of our Leadership Team and they will be glad to discuss serving opportunities with you. Additionally, watch for periodic classes offered on discovering your unique gifts as a way of understanding how God has equipped you to serve.

Thank you for helping the Dawson Family of Faith be found faithful as God’s people.
