This week, Pastor David began a new sermon series, "James: Where Real Faith Meets Real Life". The first message, titled "A Faith That Works" introduced us to the book and it's author, James, the half-brother of Jesus.
  • Can you relate to the grandmother that collected cookbooks but never cooked? What have you collected that you have not implemented?
  • What evidence have you seen of God pursuing you? your family? your friends/co-workers?
  • How have you made Christ an "add-on" or "accessory" to your successful life?
  • Are you guilty of "wasting your place"? If so, ask God to help you see what He wants you to do, right where you are.
Pastor David mentioned that this week's message could be an invitation to "repent of our collection of biblical recipes that have never been implemented". Will you accept that invitation this week?
