Family Faith Talks Conversation Starters:
December 2 Family Faith Talk: God’s people had to wait a long time for something very special to happen. What did they wait for? (God to send His Son, Jesus.) We can thank God for doing what He promised—sending His Son, Jesus! Singing songs to praise God and praying to Him are two of the ways we can show our thanks for His promise.
December 9 Family Faith Talk: Mary and Joseph were so happy baby Jesus was born. I’m glad Jesus, God’s Son, was born! Aren’t you glad, too? At Christmastime, what are some ways to show we are glad Jesus was born? (Sing songs about Jesus’ birth. Decorate Christmas trees. Give gifts to people.)
December 16 Family Faith Talk: After visiting the baby Jesus, what did the shepherds do? (Told others that Jesus was born.) The shepherds were so thankful that Jesus was born, they told everyone they saw! We can tell others about Jesus, too! Who can you tell about Jesus’ birth?
December 23 Family Faith Talk: What did the wise men see that told them something important had happened? (A very bright star.) The wise men followed the star and found Jesus. They gave Him gifts and thanked God for Jesus. We can give thanks to God for Jesus. What are some ways to show our thanks to God? (Pray to God. Sing songs to Him.)
