In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses spoke to God’s people, who during the preceding 38 years had made very little progress on their journey from bondage of Egypt to the promised land. Even though they had a marvelous and miraculous beginning to their journey, they had stalled. During this series, we will look at Moses’ instructions to the people on the edge of the Promised Land, as described in the first three chapters of the Book of Deuteronomy.  He told them to get moving forward toward what God had planned and prepared for them rather than just maintaining the status quo. Moses did this through recounting their history and telling them what they had heard before. Moses looked back to their past to prepare them for their future.
