It is estimated that preventable illness makes up approximately 80% of the burden of illness and 90% of all healthcare costs. Some people do not know and understand good health habits, and others chose to ignore them. Spiritual health is similar. As Christians we are not only created in the image of God but also recreated through the gift of salvation and the on-going work of the Holy Spirit. Yet often, our lives are not spiritually healthy. Spiritual health does not mean you will always be spiritually comfortable. A sign of physical health is the capacity to be aware of pain. Spiritual health will at times make you uncomfortable. Our textbook for this series is the book of James, but we will also look at some other passages.
