Daryl Ussery

Daryl Ussery joined the Dawson Family of Faith in 1980. During his time at Dawson he has been a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Dawson Singers and the Dawson Quartet. Daryl’s responsibilities as Special Ministry Consultant include coordination of musical events including all aspects of sound, lighting, and visual design for productions at Dawson. He is also responsible for coordinating tours for the choir and orchestra for services, programs, activities, and events held off campus. Daryl is the director of the Sanctuary Ensemble, a select group of singers also members of the Sanctuary Choir.  Daryl received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Music Education and a Minor in Theater and History at Jacksonville State University, and was a high school choral director for 25 years. He is also the President and Founder of Show Choir Nationals, a National High School Show Choir Competition held annually at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee. Daryl has a daughter Blair, married to Chris Kelly, a son Derrick, daughter-in-law Nicole and two grandchildren, Ella and Paxton.
