Breakaway 2019 is July 10-14th. Middle School and High School will be headed to Ocoee Ridge Camp (different camp location from last year but still in the same area) in Ocoee, TN for a week of studying the Word, small groups, worship, recreation, and fun free time activities including white water rafting for high schoolers.

Our camp speaker will be Austin Bryant of Brentwood Baptist Church and our worship leader will be The Museum.

The theme for Breakaway is "Perception." We are using this word to describe our desired theme with the hope that our students will accept the truth that the Lord reveals during this week. Our thoughts behind this theme originated from discussing the need for our students to understand that God and therefore Scripture are our ultimate authorities. There are many needs that need to be met within our student ministry. From anxiety and depression to navigating life as a firm believer in the divine act of Jesus’ death, we believe our students are either searching for truth or have grown to become comfortable in the midst of apathy. Our goal for this week of camp is to break down the cultural walls that hinder our students from understanding the true nature of the gospel. We believe that it is a common theme among our students to read and interpret Scripture through the lens of American culture rather than understanding how to adapt and challenge American culture through the lens of Scripture itself. Our goal is for students to seek wisdom, understanding, and truth by examining the Bible in it’s truest form. Through this, we believe the Lord will reveal truth in a new way that will then meet the needs of our students! We are excited and expectant for Breakaway 2019!
