Celebration Of Discipline by Richard J. Foster

CO-ED: 6:15 p.m.// Room 255 North - September 13 through November 15, Led by Jan Kennamer Hart & Liz Cuenin

In this semester (Part 2 will be taught in Spring 2024), we will begin to explore the "classic disciplines" of the Christian faith: meditation, prayer, fasting, study, simplicity, solitude, submission, service, confession, worship, guidance, and celebration. We will study each of the 12 disciplines in a two-week cycle of reading, discussing as a group, and practicing. Join us as we discover that the purpose of spiritual disciplines is to "allow us to place ourselves before God so He can transform us" (Celebration Of Discipline, p. 7).
