Mary Katherine joined Dawson Ballet School in 2024 and currently serves as the Director of the Ballet School. She received her dance training at Briarwood Ballet and has served in various administrative and instructor roles at Briarwood Ballet, Vibe Performing Arts, and Dale Serrano Dance Studios. She has also had the privilege of serving as Creative Director at Vibe Performing Arts. She has taught various styles of dance including Ballet/Pointe, Contemporary, Modern, Pre School & Kinder Tap, and Acro/Acro Dance. She received her college degree from The University of Alabama. She is passionate about using dance as a ministry to reach dancers and their families as well as audiences for Christ in the arts world and loves using the medium to the glory of God. She is a native of Birmingham and currently lives in the Hoover area. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family as well as painting or reading.
