In 2017, Dawson built a new, 30 bed, pediatric ward at Kigoma Baptist Hospital. In addition to the new ward, a digital x-ray system was purchased that will communicate with their new electronic medical record system. In 2018, a variety of healthcare specialists are needed on a short-term basis at Kigoma Baptist Hospital. These specialties include Cardiology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Med/Peds, Neurology, Radiology, and Physical and Occupational Therapists.
