Dawson has supported Pastor Travis Bush and Summit Community Church (https://summitmaine.org/) in many ways helping them to reach people in their community and by planting new churches. In 2021, Summit is planning to conduct a community VBS in two different locations in Gorham. In addition to regular VBS activities there will be a sports component including basketball, soccer and baseball. We will send a team of about 12 people to come alongside of and provide support to Summit’s volunteers with all aspects of the VBS.

Dawson volunteers will travel to Portland Maine on June 12, worship at Summit Church on June 13, help with final preparations that afternoon, and provide support to their VBS leadership Monday through Friday, returning home on June 19. We hope to provide housing at a local college. Estimated cost is $800 per person.
