Practices of a Faithful Servant in Music
The Dawson Music & Worship Team helps others become faithful servants of Jesus Christ by cultivating the Practices of a Faithful Servant.
Believe
A faithful servant has turned from his or her sin and believed in Jesus for salvation.
We call people to believe in Christ and follow Him more fully by leading worship services that are historically rich, culturally relevant, and biblically diverse, presenting the Gospel with clarity, beauty, and artistry.
Belong
A faithful servant discovers true belonging in worship and ministry together in our family of faith.
We invite people to belong by encouraging friendships through musical ensembles and intergenerational worship, where all ages actively participate in unity, reflecting the diversity of God’s Kingdom.
Grow
A faithful servant grows to love what God loves by cherishing God's Word and applying it to every aspect of life.
We support people as they grow spiritually by upholding the Bible as the authoritative foundation of our worship, and using music as a tool for prayer, Scripture memory, and lifelong discipleship.
Serve
A faithful servant serves others in and through our family of faith by using his or her gifts and resources in obedience to God's Word and the Spirit's leadership.
We lead people to serve by inviting them to use their creativity and talents in service to the local church community, reflecting God’s love and craftsmanship through a variety of musical expressions and ministry opportunities.
Share
A faithful servant shares the Gospel with unbelievers, disciples other believers, and engages in the spread of the Gospel to all nations.
We inspire people to share the hope of the Gospel by participating in worship that clearly proclaims the good news each week as an evangelistic witness, while forming a lifestyle of worship beyond Sunday that makes disciples and spreads the Gospel to both local and global communities.
