Intercessory Prayer

You can volunteer to spend time each week praying for the needs of others. This ministry provides the opportunity to pray for daily needs of the congregation, needs of patients and families at Children’s Hospital of Alabama, needs of missionaries serving throughout the world, needs shared in Sunday Morning Bible Study classes, and requests submitted online, via email and/or through the church prayer line.

smasH Prayer Partners

A special emphasis for each of our smash (students ministering and serving Him) 5th Graders is a secret prayer partner. smasH Prayer Partners keep their identity a secret until a reveal celebration at the end of the school year; pray for their child on a regular basis; and write their child a letter on a monthly basis. Aside from the fun of having a secret pen pal, having a smasH prayer partner teaches the 5th graders the importance of prayer- having someone pray for them, and having them pray for their secret prayer partner in return. For our prayer partners, it encourages them to pray for a child with whom they might not otherwise connect, encouraging the unity within the Dawson Family of Faith.
