Sermon Title: God’s Path To Freedom

Scripture: Exodus 14 

 

This week, Pastor David continued the sermon series from the book of Exodus with a look at God’s display of His glory in the certain defeat of Pharaoh’s army.

 

Going Deeper:

 

1. Think about a time when you have been backed into a corner. What was most difficult about trusting God in those circumstances?

 

2. Moses told the Israelites that the Lord would fight for them and that they needed only to be silent (hush; be quiet). How are you encouraged to know that God will fight for you? 

 

3. In which circumstance(s) in your life are you tempted to think it is your job to “fix” everything? How can you learn to be silent before Him and allow Him to fight for you?

 

4. As a Christian, we see the parting of the Red Sea as a picture of what God did for us in the death and resurrection of Jesus. Our hope is in a God who does the miraculous. Who are you trusting in?
