SERMON SERIES: The Gospel of Mark
SERMON TITLE: Jesus, Friend of Sinners (Mark 2:13-17)
This week, Pastor David continued The Gospel of Mark sermon series with a look at Jesus and His call of Levi.
- The gospel writer (Mark) answers the question, Who is Jesus? Mark’s answer in these verses is: Jesus is a sinless friend of sinners. Who are your friends and associates?
- Jesus’ call to follow Him is for anyone anytime. Who are you tempted to believe is beyond salvation? What does this passage teach about that?
- Jesus does not call us to be fans but followers. What is the difference? When are you tempted to settle for just being a fan? Explain.
