November 29 Family Faith Talk: What did Zechariah and Elizabeth name their baby? (John.) John would grow up to tell about God showing His love by sending His Son, Jesus. God loves everyone in the world. Who are some of the people you love? You can tell them that God loves them, too!
December 6 Family Faith Talk: God’s people had to wait a long time for something very special to happen. What did they wait for? (God to send His Son, Jesus.) We can thank God for doing what He promised - sending His Son, Jesus! Singing songs to God and praying to Him are two of the ways we can show our thanks for His promise.
December 13 Family Faith Talk: What happened while Mary and Joseph were in the stable? (Baby Jesus was born.) Jesus is God’s Son. I’m glad that Jesus was born. At Christmastime we celebrate that Jesus was born. What is something special you do with family at Christmastime? Putting up decorations, giving presents and visiting with the people in our family are ways to show that we are happy Jesus was born!
December 20 Family Faith Talk: What was the good news the Shepherds told everyone they saw? (Jesus was born.) People are especially happy at Christmastime. This is the time we celebrate Jesus’ birth. We can tell others the good news that Jesus was born. What are some of the things you do at your home to celebrate at Christmastime? What decorations do you have at your home? What special foods? What songs do you sing?
