LINDA HILLYER To RETIRE AFTER 47 YEARS Of FAITHFUL SERVICE AT DAWSON

On December 31, 2025, Linda Hillyer will retire after 47 years of faithful service to the Dawson Family of Faith. She first began working at Dawson in 1977 and has served as our Administrator of Membership and Records with dedication and a servant heart. In this role, Linda keeps meticulous records of life groups, new members, membership changes, and visitors. Her invaluable knowledge and experience allow her to connect members and guests with care and intentionality. Her coworkers and Dawson family appreciate her consistent willingness to help and the joy she radiates. Linda enjoys gardening, painting, and anything that gives her a thrill—she celebrated her 70th birthday by skydiving! She and her husband Billy have one daughter, Meredith; a granddaughter, Breanna; and a great grandson, Mason. Thank you, Linda, for blessing the Dawson family with 47 years of loyal service and devotion!

25-DAY ADVENT DEVOTIONAL

The weeks leading up to Christmas should be a time when we remember God’s promises to send the Messiah. A time when we celebrate the Savior who has come and is coming again. But far too often, December slips by and the season’s demands dull our desire for Jesus. How do we rekindle our longing for Him this Advent season and cultivate expectant hope for His return? In this year’s Advent Devotional, Unto Us, the staff of The Gospel Coalition have written 25 daily devotions to help fix your heart on Christ this Advent season. Whether you’re distracted or weary, anxious or doubting, hoping or hurting, these words will help you gaze at Jesus celebrating that a Savior has been born unto us. This Advent Devotional can be purchased for $5 at the Next Steps desk. Due to limited quantities, only 1 per family is available.
