PRAY FOR CHAPEL CHOIR MISSION TOUR

June 16–25, Wales
This year, Chapel Choir partnered with Baptist and other Evangelical Christians in Wales to extend their ministry in local communities. We'll be guided and supported by Linguae Christi and their founder, John Robinson, who has served in Wales for over 25 years. Over that time, Mr. Robinson has hosted hundreds of students, helping them serve alongside, share with, and learn from the Welch-speaking locals. Ministry will be centered around singing at, for, and with local schools and churches (locally called "Chapels"), as well as interacting with the local students. Please be in prayer for them as they serve this week in Wales.

SUMMER ADULT BIBLE STUDY Wednesdays beginning June 14, 11:00 a.m., Social Hall

Please join us for the Summer Adult Bible Study in June (14, 21, 28) and July (12,19, 26) at 11:00 a.m. in the Social Hall as Tommy Sanders leads Who We Are in Christ, a study of Ephesians. The letter to the Ephesians is filled with theological wisdom and practical insights of how to live as a Christian. This study will help us learn how to define our identity through our relationship with Jesus. This identification with Christ leads us to be unified with others, live lives of holiness, and persevere in our faith despite obstacles in this life. Tommy and other staff members will be teaching this summer. An optional lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

SUMMER SCRIPTURE EXPERIENCE FOR WOMEN Wednesdays in July, 9:00–10:00 a.m., Aldridge Gardens

Dawson Women are invited to experience the refreshment of the twenty-third Psalm on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in July. We will meet at Aldridge Gardens where Kristen Torres will guide us in a time of meditating on, praying through, and responding to this comforting Scripture passage, both as a group and individually. As we experience God’s creation, our prayer is that He will “lead us beside still waters” and “restore our souls.” Click here for more information and to register.

SUMMER BOOK REVIEW Monday, June 19, 9:30 a.m., 100 West

Dr. Kenneth Mathews will offer our first Summer Book Review on Monday, June 19, at 9:30 a.m. in Room 100 West. Please join us as Dr. Mathews reviews The Heart in Pilgrimage by Leland Ryken. Christians throughout the ages have written devotionals as a way to bend their souls toward God and teach about him, communicating rich truths and encouraging readers to grow in grace and godliness. We look forward to hearing Dr. Mathews share truths from these classic writings. Other Summer Book Review dates are July 24 and August 21 at 9:30 a.m.

ORCHESTRA LAB Wednesday, June 28, 6:00 p.m., Social Hall

Ever wondered what it was like to play with the Sanctuary Orchestra? If you have at least one year of experience, currently play or used to play a band/string instrument, then come join us for Orchestra Lab in the Social Hall. Each summer we gather to try out some hymns, worship songs and a few new preludes. It's a lab and not a rehearsal. That means we try things out, make mistakes and try again. Come join with other musicians and discover how you can use your talent to worship the Lord.
