PRAY FOR OUR STUDENTS AT BREAKAWAY

July 10–14, 6:00 p.m., Asheville, North Carolina
For BREAKAWAY 2023, we are headed to Asheville for Student Life Camp from July 10–14, 2023. Grant Staubs is the camp pastor, and The Exchange Worship will be leading us in worship. At camp, we are going to unpack one of the world's greatest mysteries, the Holy Trinity. We will be diving into the identity of God through the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit. As we learn about the Trinity, we will discover more about who God is, and as people made in the image of God, who we are. Please pray for the 147 students and leaders who will be attending Breakaway this week.

SUMMER SCRIPTURE EXPERIENCE FOR WOMEN Wednesdays in July, 9:00–10:00 a.m., Aldridge Gardens

Dawson Women are invited to experience the refreshment of the twenty-third Psalm on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in July. We will meet at Aldridge Gardens where Kristen Torres will guide in a time of meditating on, praying through, and responding to this comforting Scripture passage, both as a group and individually. As we experience God’s creation, our prayer is that He will “lead us beside still waters” and “restore our souls.” Click here for more information and to register.

At Dawson, we believe church membership matters. That’s why we have created a new opportunity for all new members and guests called Membership Matters. This two-hour class provides a chance for us to share the heart of who Dawson is. We will take a close look at our vision & mission statements, our Doctrinal Foundation, and ongoing discipleship and mission opportunities available for all members to become involved. The next Membership Matters class is Sunday, July 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please register HERE. Reservations are required and lunch will be served.

SUMMER BOOK REVIEW Monday, July 24, 10:00 am, 100 West

Please join us for the Summer Book Review on Monday, July 24 at 10:00 a.m. in room 100 West. Dr. Andrea Mullins will review the book We Really Do Need Each Other by Reuben Welch. This is a beautifully written book leading readers to understand "that in Christ we belong together, and we really do need each other." When Welch, a Greek professor, became a college chaplain, the themes of First John–life, light, love–took on new meaning. Our pastor's sermon series on 1 John provides a perfect context for us to explore what it means that we share a common life in Jesus.
