Please pray for new friendships, strengthened relationships, opened hearts and that the participants experience the joy and love of Jesus Christ as our children and youth spend time playing and learning together.

SERVE WITH DAWSON'S CHILDREN IN THE NEW CHURCH YEAR
Dawson Kids and Dawson Preschool Ministry are excited about a new church year and the opportunity to share God's love and Word with preschoolers and children through weekly programming on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Additional leaders are needed to join existing teaching teams to help support this great mission. Both ministries have needs during the 9:45 a.m. hour on Sundays year-round, and on Wednesday evenings, 6:00–7:15 p.m. during the school year.
Our Preschool Ministry (Infants–Kindergarten) also needs leaders on Sundays during the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. hours. We invite you to grow personally and taste the sweet reward of partnering with parents to build a foundation of faith in the lives of children. SUMMER REQUESTS AT KIDS CONNECTION
Kids Connection has several current needs for the summer:
- Boys' Clothing in sizes 7 through teens: shorts, short-sleeved T-shirts, polo shirts, pajamas, and swimsuits.
- Fiction and Nonfiction Chapter Books: for students elementary age through high school.
- Sports Balls: basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, and softballs.
Please bring your donations to the Kids Connection van in Dawson's North Parking Lot.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR COY, AL
School supplies are being collected for students in Coy, Alabama, our adopted community in the Black Belt region of South Alabama. Some items that are needed include loose leaf paper, folders, pens, pencils, markers, colored pencils, crayons, pencil pouches, pencil sharpeners, and rulers. Collection tubs are located at the Church Office and the Welcome Desk in the Arendall Building. Please make your donations by Sunday, July 30.
We will be putting the backpacks together on Sunday, July 30, in Room 354 North at 10:45 a.m. if you would like to participate. Distribution day in Coy for the backpacks is Saturday, August 5. Please contact David and Denise Bivin at dbivin3@gmail.com for more information.

SUMMER BOOK REVIEW

Please join us for the Summer Book Review on Monday, July 31 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 100 West. Dr. Andrea Mullins will review the book We Really Do Need Each Other by Reuben Welch. This is a beautifully written book leading readers to understand "that in Christ we belong together, and we really do need each other." When Welch, a Greek professor, became a college chaplain, the themes of First John–life, light, love–took on new meaning. Our pastor's sermon series on 1 John provides a perfect context for us to explore what it means that we share a common life in Jesus.

GRIEFSHARE
Sunday, August 20, 3:00 p.m., North 253
GriefShare is a Christ-centered grief support group ministry which will begin at Dawson on August 20 and last for 13 weeks. Meetings will take place at 3:00 pm each Sunday afternoon in Room 253 of the North Building. If you have lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, please consider joining us. You will receive information by video from Christian experts, group discussion regarding how the information can impact your life, and a personal workbook. All ages are invited, as well as family members who might benefit from this grief support group. Cost is $20.00 which covers all meetings and materials.
