On May 7th, 2018, Dallas Glass presented a program titled “ Scouting is: Everest” to the Scouts, parents, friends and Adult Leaders of Boy Scout Troop 83.

Dallas is the son of Don and Ginny Glass. He grew up in Dawson Memorial Baptist Church where he participated in the youth programs and ministries of the church. Dallas was a Scout in Troop 83 earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

Dallas is currently a guide with International Mountain Guides headquartered in Seattle, Washington. As a guide for IMG he leads expeditions worldwide that include the tallest mountains in the world. On May 21, 2017, Dallas was one of the International Mountain Guide team leaders that lead a group of 10 ten climbers and 15 sherpas to the summit of Mt. Everest.

His presentation focused on the 12 points of the Scout Law, with stories and analogies from his successful summit of Mt. Everest that demonstrated how the Scout Law can be found in all aspects of life and in particular during a 72 day effort to attain the summit of the worlds highest mountain.
