Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

UNITED WE PRAY Sunday, March 15, 5:00 p.m., Sixth Avenue Baptist Church

We are excited and expectant as we join with other local congregations for a powerful time of praying for unity and love in Birmingham. As we gather to pray, we acknowledge our dependence on God and ask Him to do what only He can do—shape our hearts and hands in our partnership of the Gospel in our community. We pray that through this experience, you will be encouraged and empowered in your personal walk with the Lord. Registration is free, but space is limited. Register today at dawsonchurch.org/United and learn more about this prayer gathering at uwepray.org.

40 Days of Grace Lent Devotional

This year for Lent, you are invited to meditate on the grace of Jesus. There is nothing we can do to earn God’s grace, it is a gift. Through 40 daily meditations, Paul David Tripp's 40 Days of Grace explores the role grace plays in the everyday life of the Christian. You'll be reminded that God, in his infinite mercy, can radically transform even the weakest person by the life-changing power of his grace through his Son, Jesus Christ. Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18. 40 Days of Grace is available for purchase at the Next Steps desk for $5.

WOMEN'S QUIET RETREAT Thursday, February 19, 9:00 a.m., Library in the Forest

You’re invited to step away from the noise and into rest at our half-day Quiet Retreat at the Library in the Forest—a peaceful, soul-soothing space created for women to slow down and be renewed. We’ll begin by gathering with a small group of women for gentle connection, then move into unhurried time alone with the Lord through Scripture, prayer, and reflection. As Jesus invites us, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Come as you are, and let Him meet you there. Please visit dawsonchurch.org/women to register.

AN INVITATION TO PRAY

Prayer is our priority and has always been at the heart of who we are as a church. It is how we listen, how we respond, and how we trust God to move in ways we cannot manufacture ourselves. As we step into a new season, we invite you to join our Intercessory Prayer Team, receive weekly prayer emails, and pray together corporately every Sunday morning and/or Sunday evenings on campus. If you feel drawn to join us, we would love to welcome you into this sacred work of prayer. Visit dawsonchurch.org/prayer to learn more.
