What's Happening

SUMMER BIBLE STUDY: 1 PETER
Beginning Wednesday, June 10, 11:00 a.m., Chapel
In the first century, Gentile believers were suffering and facing persecution because of their faith in Jesus. Peter wrote a letter to remind them that their heavenly hope and eternal inheritance outweighed anything faced in this life. Peter encourages believers to stand firm in their faith even in the midst of suffering. This message is applicable in our lives today as well. Regardless of our circumstances, our identity is rooted in Christ, not our situations. We are to live with an eternal perspective because our citizenship is in Heaven.

Summer AUXANO Beginig, Tuesday, June 9, 7:00 p.m., Chapel

AUXANO is our weekly worship service for college students and young adults that exists to help you walk through the transition and to facilitate connection and growth. This summer we’re exploring how the Gospel transforms the way we view work. Through the voices of many Dawson members, we’ll look to Scripture to build a biblical vision of vocation and rediscover God’s design for both work and rest. We will have dinner starting at 6:15 p.m. and worship starting at 7:00 p.m. The Summer Auxano dates are: June 9, June 16, June 23, July 14, July 21, and July 28.

ORCHESTRA LAB Wednesday, June 24, 6:00 p.m., Social Hall

Ever thought about playing with the Sancuary Orchestra? If you have at least one year of experience playing a band or string instrument, then join us for our Orchestra Lab. We will try out some hymns, worship songs, and a few new preludes. This is a "lab," not a rehearsal, which means we will try things out, make some mistakes, and try again. Join other musicians and discover how you can use your talents for the Lord.

An Invitation to Pray

Prayer is our priority and has always been at the heart of who we are as a church. It is how we listen, how we respond, and how we trust God to move in ways we cannot manufacture ourselves. As we step into a new season, we invite you to join our Intercessory Prayer Team, receive weekly prayer emails, and pray together corporately every Sunday morning and/or Sunday evenings on campus. If you feel drawn to join us, we would love to welcome you into this sacred work of prayer. Visit dawsonchurch.org/prayer to learn more.
