October Memory Verse

Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.

The Heart of Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21

This world can feel like it’s taking from us all the time. It steals our joy on a regular basis. But God has shown me that joy comes from giving and serving Him. It fills my heart with joy to see our tithes and offerings supporting ministries like DNow, KidLife, and Music Camp that fill our campus with kids who are excited to learn truth that will change their lives. As I serve with my daughter in Hearts & Hands and get to know families who are part of this ministry, God fills my heart with joy again.  Seeing lives changed in the students at The Learning Center causes me to praise God for the work He is doing. These are just a few ways God is using what we trust Him with at Dawson. When we give back to God from what He’s given us in our time, talents and finances, our hearts are being “heaven-minded” about those treasures. Everything we have is His. How is God calling you to generously give back to Him through our church? Commitment Cards will be collected November 3 through December 31 or visit dawsonchurch.org/commitment to make your commitment online.

DNow Host Homes Needed January 17–19, 2025

DNOW is right around the corner (January 17–19), and the DSM team is working hard to make it a meaningful and impactful weekend. During this weekend, students stay in host homes around the city, and your help is needed! We are expecting a large number of students to attend this year and want plenty of host homes to make this the best and safest opportunity for meaningful discipleship. Please visit dawsonchurch.org/students to complete an interest form or contact Ashbelle Henry for more information. Responses are needed by November 10, 2024.

Women on Mission Monday, October 21, 10:00 a.m., Social Hall

Christian leaders in East Africa face great resistance and persecution for their faith. As part of a conference for these dedicated leaders, Birch and Karon Bowdre presented an Old Testament survey that focused on redemption and the foretelling of Jesus. Join us to hear the story of their experience. Come early and enjoy delicious brunch food and coffee.

Chapel Choir Reunion

As part of our 100 year celebration, Dawson's Music & Worship Ministry is hosting a special Chapel Choir Reunion at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Whether you sang with us recently or decades ago, we invite you to join us for a day of fellowship, worship, and music as we celebrate our shared legacy. The afternoon will begin with a time of fellowship and a short rehearsal, followed by a group picture, singing, and worship together. We’ll end the day with a church-wide picnic featuring special musical performances. To help us prepare, we are compiling a database of all Chapel Choir Alumni. Please visit dawsonchurch.org/chapelchoirreunion for more information and stay connected, even if you are unable to attend the event. Be sure to let your friends and family who’ve been part of Chapel Choir know about this exciting reunion!
