DAY CAMP FAQ

WHERE IS CAMP DAWSON? Camp Dawson is located about 45 minutes away, 2448 County Rd 46 Montevallo, AL 35115

HOW DO YOU TRANSPORT THE CAMPERS? We transport students on school buses provided by STS.

CAN I PICK MY CHILD UP FROM CAMP DAWSON? We would prefer that you don’t because we are trying to count and keep up, but in some situations this can be setup ahead of time.

HOW DO I GET IN TOUCH WITH MY CHILD IF I NEED TO?  We will send information before camp begins with all of our contact numbers and any relevant information that you might need.

WHAT ALL DO THEY NEED TO BRING? We will send an email closer to the camp date with everything that they will need to bring.

WHAT ABOUT SWIMMING? We do a swim test with each student before they are allowed to swim in the deep pool.  If they are not able to tread water then they will need to stay in the shallow pool.

WHAT ABOUT BAD WEATHER? If bad weather pops up while at camp, we shut down activities and bring students into the house and watch a movie or play games.

HOW ARE GROUPS MADE? We split the students up by grade and gender.
