Jacob Pierce

Minister to Young Adults
Jacob Pierce

Jacob trusted in Jesus for salvation as a 10-year-old at FBC Pleasant Grove and grew into his identity in Christ through the faithful investment of his parents, coaches at Oak Mountain, and student ministry leaders at Valleydale Church. His journey at Dawson began as a Student Ministry Intern while he was in college at UAB. After graduation, he stepped into a new role as Associate Recreation Minister and continued to serve in other areas at Dawson. In 2017, he moved to Dallas-Fort Worth to pursue his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In Texas, he worked in collegiate and young adult ministries in both church and parachurch contexts, and he also worked for several years in K-12 Construction as an Assistant Project Manager. Jacob came back home to Birmingham and Dawson in 2022 to assume the role of Minister to Young Adults. Jacob and his wife Katie live in Vestavia. When Katie is not at home spoiling their dog Penelope, she cares for newborns in the UAB CCN.

As Jacob has sought to trust Jesus alongside loving brothers and sisters in Christ in the locational transience and spiritual transitions of young adulthood, he is passionate about encouraging and equipping others to do the same.
