Sermon Title: The Secret Of Lasting Joy

Scripture:  Philippians 1:1–5

  

This week, Pastor David began a new sermon series from the book of Philippians. Specifically, we examined:

3. The Power Of The Gospel To Redeem Our Lives

 

Going Deeper:

  • Think about the choice of Paul and Timothy as the authors of this letter. How do their lives illustrate the power of the Gospel to change lives?
  • Pastor David shared that our joy is found not in our circumstances but in the truth of Jesus in all our circumstances. What do you face today that threatens to rob you of your joy in your relationship with Jesus? What spiritual discipline can you practice this week that will help you rely on this truth?
  • What similarities do you see between the cultural circumstances of the church at Philippi church and today? What is one way to focus on the Gospel as something that unites instead of divides?
  • God did not hold anything back to redeem us; He gave His one and only Son. How have you experienced God’s redemption? Who do you need to share God’s grace with this week?
