Sermon Title: Salt & Light

Scripture:  Matthew 5:13–16

This week, Pastor David shared from the Gospel of Matthew about the importance of Christians being “salt” as they go about their lives.

Going Deeper:

  • How did Jesus use the example of salt to remind us of our calling as His disciples? What does it look like for you to be salt in your surroundings, at home, at work and in your community?
  • There should be noticeable differences in a Christian's life (versus a non-Christian). What is one area of your life where you need to focus on being different?
  • Pastor David said that we constantly meet people who are trying to quench their spiritual thirst with the salt water the world offers. How are you pointing to the One who gives the living water that will satisfy their thirst?
  • Through the work of the Holy Spirit in us, through prayer and working for good, believers can have a purifying effect in their schools, workplaces, and communities. Who do you need to begin praying for?
