Acts: Boldly

Acts 4:1-21

This week, Pastor David continued the sermon series on the book of Acts with a look at Peter and John's boldness in sharing the Gospel no matter the consequences.

  1. Our Boldness Always Leads To Holding To The Exclusivity Of The Gospel
  2. Our Boldness Always Leads To A Courageous Stand For The Gospel

GOING DEEPER:

  • Peter and John faced ridicule and imprisonment for sharing their faith. Pastor David reminded us that, while the Gospel messenger can be imprisoned, the Gospel message cannot. What is the biggest challenge you face in sharing your faith each day? Each week? How does Peter and John’s boldness encourage you?
  • While our culture seems to be allergic to exclusive claims, there is only one way to be saved, and that way has a name, and His name is Jesus (John 14:6). How can you share the exclusivity of the Gospel with kindness and compassion?
  • When are you tempted to be a "silent" Christian? How does that temptation go against our calling?
  • Pastor David shared that wearing "neutral" colors, spiritually, does not change the nature of who we are. Who do you need to proclaim Jesus to this week?

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24–26
