The Life Of David: The Warning Lights Of The Soul
This week, Pastor David continued the sermon series on The Life Of David with a look at indications pointing to when our souls need attention.
GOING DEEPER:
- In 1 Samuel 27, we see David full of paranoia and fear. And, we see him not trusting God's Word or calling out to God for help. What situations have you found yourself in that have led you to doubt God and His Word?
- When our perspective is not focused on God, we tend to rely on our feelings for guidance. What happens when our feelings are wrong? How can you make sure you are not being led by feelings alone?
- Pastor David showed us that David's actions in this chapter are contrary to the David that we often hail as a hero. What does this picture of a sinful David show you about yourself? How are you keeping your hope set on the only One who will never fail us, Jesus, the Christ?
- What evidence of a callous heart do you see in your own life? How will you look to God to help you change that this week?
